Science Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Science Festival was a real success especially at the University of Technology of Troyes where the festivities were at their best on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the university. UTT hence hosted more than 2400 visitors, 500 of which were scholars, on Thursday, October 9 and Friday, October 10, and almost 1900 visitors on Saturday, October 11th during the open day. As far as light is concerned, they had the opportunity to participate in an escape game related to photo-luminescence. Not to mention the 40 staff members’ children who also had their dedicated moment on Wednesday, October 8th.

On the Metz campus of CentraleSupélec, some 500 middle-school and high-school students from Metz, Behren-Lès-Forbach, Thionville, Phalsbourg and Sarreguemines came with their group leaders on October 6-7. They had a glimpse of the professors’, researchers’ and school technicians’ on-campus daily life while visiting the FabLab and getting familiar with a variety of scientific topics: AI, designing an invisible screen, sound and light workshops.

At the Village des Sciences in Lingolsheim, near Strasbourg, the day reserved for scholars attracted more than 600 students on Friday, October 3rd. The weekend that followed was open to the public. Dozens of families attended the demos and discovered the experiments designed by researchers from Univeristy of Strasbourg and CNRS.

This year, the Village des Sciences in Mulhouse on the Fonderie campus of UHA hosted 31 entities visited by 2800 people over the 3 days of the event, open to scholars and the public. The researchers from Université de Haute-Alsace and CNRS performed demos and presentations on the topics of optics and photonics which were once again highly successful.

The 2025 Science Festival was one more time a success, and an opportunity to discover research and science with a different approach, through concrete, interactive and accessible experiments. See you at the next edition!
