Focus on the Spring-Summer 2026 activities

At the end of May, Institut Photonique attended the Photonics21 annual meeting in Brussels for two days of discussions on the implementation of the Grand Challenges set out in the European Commission’s Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for photonics, which addresses the key issues and the future of photonics in Europe. The event featured committed and engaging speakers and panellists, both during the plenary session and in the specialist workshops.

On 26 June, Photonics Bretagne welcomed its members to Perros-Guirec for its general meeting, which showcased the scope and diversity of its activities in Brittany. As Photonics Bretagne and Institut Photonique had recently entered into a cross-membership agreement to formalise their commitment to working together on joint projects, Institut Photonique was delighted to attend this meeting, which provided an opportunity to meet the Breton network and discuss initiatives in the field of photonics.

Finally, from 6 to 10 July, Optique BFC, the congress of the SFO (French Optical Society), was held in Dijon. PhD students, researchers and affiliates of Institut Photonique actively participated in the poster sessions, thematic sessions, practical workshops and industrial exhibition. It was another highly interesting edition of the congress, with a packed programme interspersed with social occasions and promising exchanges for Institut Photonique.
