Marc Sciamanna, Director of Institut Photonique, has been elected at the Board of Stakeholders of Photonics21, the society in charge of promoting and developing photonics at the European level.
The Photonics 21 Board of Stakeholders is comprised of a maximum of 100 members. For this election (November 2025), there were 36 candidates for a total of 23 seats up for election.
It is the first time that CentraleSupelec joins the administration of this European society. This new step strengthens the European strategic position of Institut Photonique, including CentraleSupelec, its twelve founding members and its affiliate members. Institut Photonique will be contributing to the work groups that partake in defining the European strategy for photonics. Together with its partners, Institut Photonique will be proactive in reinforcing our research infrastructures, our competence in innovation, and our educational offer.
